Life Update
Y’all, I need to tell y’all something.
My teacher’s coming today, and we’ve got a lot to work on, but I’ve made a decision. I think I need to take a little break from this whole social media journey… at least the way I’ve been doing it.
If y’all know me, you know I don’t know how to do anything halfway. I don’t do “a little.” I go all in, full speed ahead, and somehow I expect everything to happen overnight. That’s just not real life.
The whole reason I started this social media journey was to build a platform to help me sell my jewelry. But somewhere along the way, I got so wrapped up in learning reels, chasing followers, watching numbers, trying to figure out algorithms, and posting nonstop that I completely lost sight of why I started in the first place.
Case in point… yesterday my jeweler in New York sent me one of their specials. They only do it every few weeks, and it’s an amazing deal on tennis necklaces. And guess what? I haven’t even posted it because I’ve been so consumed with everything else.
How does that even make sense? It doesn’t.
So here’s my new plan.
I’m still going to post because, let’s be honest, y’all know I can’t stay off here. 😂 But I’m done putting all this pressure on myself to post every five minutes or worrying about followers and numbers.
Instead, I’m going to focus on learning. I want to learn how to make better reels, keep writing my blog because I absolutely love it, get my Amazon storefront set up, and when I find things I genuinely love, I’ll share them with y’all.
But my main focus is going back to my jewelry.
Because if I’m not selling jewelry… how am I supposed to pay for everything else? That was the whole point from the beginning.
I’m still going to share my grandbabies, our everyday life, restaurants, funny stories, and whatever else happens in my world. I’m just not going to treat social media like it’s a full-time job because… it’s not.
I’ve got too many other things going on to let this stress me out the way it has. And honestly? It has. I’ve been in a funk over it, and that’s just not healthy.
So thank y’all for hanging in there with me through all of this. Y’all have been so supportive, and I appreciate every single one of you.
I’m not going anywhere. I’m just taking the pressure off.
I’m still going to be here… just not in typical Tammy fashion where everything has to be extra AF. 😂
I want this to happen naturally. Some people have been building their pages for nine or ten years. I’ve got to quit expecting everything to happen in a month.
So bear with me. I promise… I’m still here. ❤️
