Nothing to Report… Except My House Is a Disaster and Big Elvis Is Famous

I feel like I haven’t written anything on my blog in 24 hours, which is completely unlike me. 😂 Who even am I?

The truth is, nothing terribly exciting has been happening around here. Rosie came today, and I got us the CUTEST aprons for some content we’re going to make. The problem is, I really don’t want to start doing reviews, try-ons, unboxings, or any of the other 900 things I’ve bought to make content with until all of my links are working correctly.

And apparently getting everything fixed could take about a month.

So here I am, crying over my broken links while the content pile continues to grow. 😂

I’ve started putting everything I’ve purchased for content on the kitchen counter, and I don’t think my husband is nearly as excited about this little system as I am.

Meanwhile, all of my extra content stuff has taken over the kitchen table.

Now, do we actually USE the kitchen table?

No.

Does Welton still want it perfectly clean?

Absolutely.

That poor man.

Y’all have to understand something about my husband. He had two boys, and his first wife and I are NIGHT AND DAY. And I don’t mean that negatively whatsoever—we are simply not cut from the same cloth.

Then again, Welton and I aren’t cut from the same cloth either. 😂

This redneck man somehow ended up married to ME, living in this little cracker-box house with clothes, jackets, jewelry, boxes, content products and God only knows what else covering every available surface.

I’m honestly surprised there hasn’t been a Dateline episode yet:

Husband Kills Wife in Hoarder House — Investigators Take Two Hours to Locate Body Under Merchandise

😂😂😂

Poor Welton.

Anyway, we watched a movie tonight that one of my sweet friends recommended called Don’t Say Good Luck. It stars Adam Sandler’s daughter, Sunny Sandler, and Adam produced it. It was actually really good. Kind of a chick flick, kind of emotional, but an easy watch.

And y’all know my official test for an “easy watch”: if I can play on my phone and still know what’s happening, we’re good. 😂

Now for something I AM excited about…

I get Elliot on Saturday!

We’re finally going to celebrate our birthday together, and she’s spending the night. I’m so excited to have that baby at my house.

I have a whole lot I could say about everything surrounding that situation, but I’m not ready yet. My mind still isn’t where it needs to be, and I know myself well enough to know that when I do talk about it, I want to say what I actually mean—not just what I feel in one particular moment.

When the time is right, Chat and I have got it. 😂

In the meantime, I’ve apparently turned myself into a social-media scientist.

Y’all, I have been studying my analytics and algorithms like I’m trying to earn a damn degree in them, and I have officially determined one thing:

I understand absolutely nothing.

I posted a video a couple of weeks ago of Jake and little baby Sloane.

1.2 MILLION VIEWS.

Are you kidding me?!

Then I posted Big Elvis, and that thing is somewhere around 125,000 and STILL going.

Then I’ll post something that I think is hilarious and think, “Oh, people are going to LOVE this.”

Then I find some random dumb video buried in my camera roll, throw it up without thinking twice about it…

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

So now I’m conducting my own little experiment. I’m digging through years of videos on my phone and posting completely different things just to see what people respond to and what the different platforms decide to push.

Travel. Funny stuff. Random stuff. Old videos. Whatever I find.

We’re experimenting.

My social-media numbers are going up, but my blog numbers have stalled a little bit, so apparently y’all are trying to tell me something. 😂 I’m working on it!

Tomorrow I actually have to LEAVE MY HOUSE.

Please keep me in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Y’all know I hate leaving the house. I hate getting out of my pajamas. I hate getting dressed. I hate doing all the things.

Unfortunately, this hair has not been blown out in a WEEK, and I’m starting to feel disgusting, so something has to happen.

I did get a lot accomplished for Round Top, though, especially with my jackets, so at least I can say I’ve been productive while looking homeless.

Friday, Welton will resume his position as Driving Miss Daisy and chauffeur me around for a few errands because, again, I hate driving and he apparently made some questionable choices when he married me.

Then Saturday we get Elliot.

We even did H-E-B curbside tonight so we’d have plenty of food here for her because y’all know that child is a COOKER. 😂

And honestly…that’s all I’ve got tonight.

Nothing profound.

Nothing earth-shattering.

Nothing particularly serious.

There ARE serious things I want to talk about. A lot of them, actually. I’m just not in that mood yet. I think next week we may get into some deeper conversations, and I’m sure I’ll throw some ridiculous ones in between because apparently that is my personality.

My husband is funny as hell and does ridiculous shit constantly.

My kids are…well, my kids are ridiculous. That’s all I’m going to say about that tonight. 😂

And my grandbabies are the sweetest little people on the planet.

So maybe I don’t need some huge topic every single day.

Maybe sometimes this blog can just be me sitting down at the end of the day and telling y’all what’s going on inside this crazy little cracker-box house of mine.

And with Elliot spending the night Saturday, I have a feeling I’ll have PLENTY to talk about soon.

Until then, I’m going to bed before Welton realizes there’s probably another box sitting somewhere it doesn’t belong.

Goodnight from the hoarder house. 😂

Y’all, I forgot to put this in my other blog, but this deserves its own little one-and-done, praise-Jesus update. 😂
