Thank Y’all for Showing Up for My Train Wreck 😂❤️
Thank Y’all for Showing Up for My Train Wreck 😂❤️
Hey guys, I just wanted to jump on here for a minute and say thank you. Seriously, THANK YOU for going over and reading my blog every day.
I just looked at my numbers, and y’all… my blog is growing faster than my Instagram, my TikTok, AND my Facebook. 😂 And I’ve only been doing this for about two weeks!
Apparently, y’all really enjoy watching the train wreck that is my life unfold in real time.
And you know what? I’m perfectly fine with that. 😂
If you know me in real life, you already know I’m an open book. I’ve pretty much always been that way. What you see is what you get, and sometimes what you get is a whole damn mess—but at least it’s an honest mess.
I’ll tell you something else about me: sometimes I care what people think.
Sometimes.
But the majority of the time? I really don’t.
And there’s a reason for that.
I know who I am. And God knows who I am.
I know my heart. I know how much I love the people in my life. I know how fiercely loyal I am. I know that when I love somebody, I love them BIG. And because I know those things about myself, I don’t need everybody else to understand me or approve of me.
Now, do I care what my husband and my kids think? Of course I do.
Well… sometimes. 😂
And the older everybody gets—including ME—the less I feel like I need to explain myself.
I am who I am.
Am I perfect? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Do I make mistakes? Absolutely. All the damn time. Probably daily.
Have I gone through some really rough patches in my life? Yep.
Have I done things I’m not proud of? Absolutely.
But here’s the thing: I don’t think your worst moment, your biggest mistake, or the hardest chapter of your life has to define who you are forever.
People can change if they WANT to change.
And if you know me, you’ve probably heard me say this a million times because I truly believe it:
There are two kinds of people in this world.
There are people who can admit when they’re wrong, admit their faults, look at themselves and say, Okay, I need to do better.
And then there are people who can never admit they’re wrong.
Because here’s the problem: if you can’t admit you have faults, you can’t change them.
If you can admit them, you can work on them. You can learn. You can grow. You can apologize. You can try to do better tomorrow than you did yesterday.
But if you think you’re never the problem?
Well… you’re probably going to stay exactly where you are.
So there’s that. 😂
Anyway, I did NOT mean for this to turn into some big life lesson. I literally came on here just to tell y’all THANK YOU for reading my blog, and somehow we ended up here.
Which, honestly, is basically how every single one of my blogs goes. 😂
But truly, y’all, thank you.
I started writing this blog thinking I was going to tell funny stories, talk about life, fashion, food, travel, jewelry and whatever other random thing popped into my head that day.
I didn’t realize how much I was going to enjoy just sitting down and writing. And I definitely didn’t realize how many of y’all were going to keep coming back to read it.
For something I’ve only been doing for about two weeks, seeing those numbers move means more to me than you probably realize—especially when they’re moving faster than the social media platforms I’ve been working so hard on.
So apparently I’ve finally found my people.
People who enjoy reading about a 56-year-old woman trying to get her shit together while simultaneously losing it on a fairly regular basis. 😂😂😂
And there’s apparently quite a few of y’all.
So keep showing up.
I’ll keep telling the truth.
And we’ll just see where this little train wreck takes us. ❤️
P.S. And before y’all lose your shit because you see this here AND on my blog—YES, I’m posting it in both places. 😂 I wrote it for y’all, and I want my blog people to see it too. So if you see it twice, just keep scrolling and mind your business. 😂❤️
